[ESP/ENG] Ganesh Chathurthi 2021

[ENGLISH READ BELOW]

- Puedes ofrecer comida, especialmente dulces, a Ganesh.

This lunar month that began on the last New Moon in Leo, the night of September 6 to 7, is auspicious for several events.

I already mentioned in the Youtube video the most important ones and the tips to achieve your goals, objectives and meditations; but there is more, because between Thursday and Friday is the fourth lunar day, which celebrates the Birthday of the deity Ganesh or Ganesha. (if you see the Youtube video, in English from minute 29)

As the Vedic Calendar is based on the moon, and we also talk about lunar month, the fourth day of Bhadrapada (name given to this month) is given:

- Spain. Austria (and other GMT+1): from September 9 at 19:49h, to September 10 at 17:29h.

- Argentina, Chile, Uruguay: from September 9 at 14:49h to September 10 at 12:29h.

- Mexico: from September 9 at 12:49h to September 10 at 10:29h.

Ganesha is related to good luck, Wisdom, and above all with the elimination and overcoming of obstacles. So, tomorrow Friday is a good day for your offering and petition to be directed towards Ganesh.

How to direct my energy towards Ganesh?

There are several ways, here I indicate just a few. During Ganesh Chathurthi:

- You can offer food, especially sweets, to Ganesh. Offer fire, a candle is ok, because the Fire Element associated with Ganesh (Agni Tattva). Even inciense or flowers will be welcome.

- Recite the Ganesh Mantra: "Aum Gan Ganapataye Namaha".

- If you know where is Ketu in your Vedic Astrologic Chart, you can chant your personal Mantra for Ketu; and if you know your Navamsa Chart, and there you find plantes in Conjunction with Ketu, honor the deities that are linked to those planets.

- Practice the Ganesh Mudra:

I remember last year that I spent practically the entire year in Nepal, where this date is celebrated with great enthusiasm, kicking off 10 days of celebration and rituals for Ganesh, ending with the "Visarjan", moment in which this deity is bid farewell until next year. In turn, this small cycle of 10 days symbolizes the cycle of life and death, making it clear that nothing is eternal, that everything is born, arises, is maintained, and is transformed in an end.

Nuevo Mes Lunar/New Lunar Month (ESP/ENG). Purva Phalguni Nakshatra

[ENGLISH READ BELOW]

Last night was the New Moon that starts the Vedic lunar month called Bhadrapada. We left the month Sravana, so special, to start a new lunar cycle that had its genesis in the Nakshatra Purva Phalguni, on the night of September 6 to 7. And it is this Nakshatra that I want to talk about in this writing:

As I have sometimes remarked, each Nakshatra involves a 13°20' spacing of the celestial vault. The New Moon began in the constellation Leo, exactly at the 20th degree. Purva Phalguni, like each Nakshatra, is divided into four legs, parts, or "padas". The lunar month began in the third of them. And each of the padas has a syllable or sound: "Ti" or "Tee" is the one that corresponds to this one.

(To know more about the syllables of each Nakshatra, click here).

When studying a Nakshatra we have to look at several factors. In this article I will highlight the most important ones, leaving out many others that would make this article too long.

If the syllable is "Ti" or "Tee"; the Beeja Mantra that you can sing or chant is "Aum Cham".

It is very important to know which deity corresponds to Purva Phalguni: Bhaga, associated with fortune, prosperity and well-being. This deity is the one who gives humans these faculties. As a curiosity, it should be noted that the capital of Iraq, Baghdad, owes its name (etymologically from the Persian Medo or Pahlavi) to this deity. Thus, this energy is important not only during the time of the new moon, but throughout the month in which it begins.

The planet that rules this space in the sky is Venus. The energy of Venus is very present for several reasons, because besides being the ruler of this Nakshatra, we see that in the sky she has just left her sign of debilitation (Virgo) to enter her sign Moolatrikina (Libra) just a couple of days before the New Moon; and also because Rahu (the North Node of Astrology) is in Taurus, house of Venus, in exalted mode... All this enhances that Venusian faculty of wealth, prosperity, well-being, pleasure and relaxation.

As if this were not enough, Purva Phalguni has a motivation (Purusharta) of the "Kama" type. You all know the Kama Sutra, or "Treatise on Desire, or Treatise on Passion". And the type of Nakshatra, its Gana, is Human. There are "divine" ones (for mainly spiritual activities), there are "demonic" ones (for activities that require strength and commitment) and there are "human" ones like this one, which invite us to take life from a more material and worldly perspective. And even more Venusian energy in terms of the Element: Water.

As you can see, the New Moon in this position tells us to take a break, to take advantage of the times of relaxation and calm to 100%, to enjoy the earthly. That is the energy that should dominate during this lunar month.

Another important factor to take into account is the symbol of each Nakshatra. Here it is the hammock (there are also those who associate it with two of the four legs of the bed, because with the next Nakshatra completes the other half). Again we appeal to the energy of relaxation, rest, calmness...

Those of you who have the natal moon in this Nakshatra should take very much into account to dedicate space and time for rest, relaxation, calm. Otherwise it is very easy to be a victim of stress, anxiety... It is also common to find people with strong artistic creativity, and propensity for sexual activity, when born with this Moon.

The literal meaning of comes to be "The first fruits of the tree", referring to the time in which we must harvest the efforts made previously, and enjoy them.

Purva Phalguni also has a god of Trimurti: Vishnu, who rules the maintenance, the sustenance. And an animal: the female rat, an animal that lives in community, and reproduces quickly and easily. In fact, this month is propitious (due to the influence of Purva Phalguni) for pregnancies... The power or Shakti of this Nakshatra is both procreation and the union of opposites.

Because of the latter, this is an auspicious month for resolving old rivalries or disputes, which is enhanced by the entry of Venus into Libra, which helps to find middle ground in interpersonal agreements.

There are more factors that define Purva Phalguni, such as the tree, the bird, the Varna or social class... but it would lengthen a lot this guide, which is intended to be more than a basic help.

In closing, to cite the favorable activities for the moon in this position, and thus for this lunar month: marriage, romance, sexuality, rest, artistic creation, buying property, resolving old disputes, or dealing with people in power.

Thus, the keys for a moon in Purva Phalguni, and for this lunar month that has just begun are:

- reflect on what has happened since the last lunar month, which began last August 8.

- relaxation, calm. Give yourself a gift, get a massage, visit a spa...

- artistic creativity. Develop your creative potential. Or make any routine activity an act of joy, creativity, passion, art of living?

- all activities related to love, romance, and sexuality.

If I have made the Astral Chart for you, or if you already have your Vedic Astral Chart, and your Ascendant or Moon is in Purva Phalguni, this is a special month for you. If not, in this text I have indicated the trend for the next 28 days, until the next new moon, at the beginning of October.
